Spring Raining Down

Spring Raining Down  Oil on Canvas  $600.00
I call this abstract painting "Spring Raining Down".  To me it symbolizes alot of spring type attributes, I'll leave it to you to figure that out.  Maybe its a mistake to talk about what the painting means to me, I should just let it go out there and let the people make their own determinations about it.

Well here goes....this image makes me really happy for the light that is so strong and yet subtle from above and the distinct sense of grounding in green from below. Reminds me of gently walking in the midst of moss of a myriad of colour on times when I was supposedly fishing.

Do you remember crawling around on all four limbs at a place called Payuk Lake discovering the amazing macro world amongst the pre-cambrian rock? I think it was just after you decided to throw your perfectly good fishing rod in the lake that we decided to take some photos and paint a picture, alot easier on the fish.

Enjoyed the comments.

For me, this painting is of summer. Influenced by your 'rain' I think this is a very soft rain, falling as the sun continues to shine. The small jewels of colour suggest houses sitting laying near the edge of 'wet' road.

I think I would not see the 'rain' if it had not been described. Right now, influenced by my own surroundings, I see the sky reflected in a lake, cottages along the shore and trees bleached yellow/white by the early morning sun.
